JDE Analyst – Manufacturing
Supports production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment. Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, systems, manufacturing, equipment and material management, and process reengineering. The incumbent may facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement. Incumbents are generally experienced in one or more areas of manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
· Provide IT expertise to support the realization and design of the manufacturing processes. Key focus is on leveraging JD Edwards manufacturing modules and Lean principles.
· Gather information and write functional specifications to meet highly complex business needs; lead project teams and group facilitation sessions in the design and development cycles.
· Assist system users of the ERP and associated applications or interfaces by providing problem resolution, instruction, or information to fulfill business needs.
· Work with various business units to improve existing systems and to anticipate future direction changes providing scope for future projects.
· Take projects from initial inception through final completion incorporating and documenting project scope and objectives, creating project timelines, monitoring and reporting on project milestones and identifying and addressing any issues which may impact progress.
· Communicate effectively with users and IT staff to identify and document the specifics of a reported problem or request. Investigate and research the underlying causes of reported problems.
· Oversee pilot preparation, and assist in support of user acceptance testing and coordinating rollouts including establishing rollout procedures, executing, fine tuning, and documenting processes through initial deployments, transferring deployment responsibility to others, and working in a support role, as needed.
· Adhere to internal IT procedures and suggest improvements if needed. A strong sense of teamwork in a must.
· Serve as the liaison between the Manufacturing Operations team and the IT Department.
· Document the support activities performed from initiation to final disposition of reported problems and requests.
Requirements
· Full SDLC, including ERP implementation experience
· Excellent project management, negotiation and analytical skills
· Experience within JD Edwards Enterprise One Manufacturing and Financial modules
· Basic understanding of CPG industry and business processes; understanding of manufacturing business processes
· Skill in working with integrated ERP, Bar-coding, and Shop Floor Control systems
· Business Process Improvement – Business Analysis - Lean Implementations
· Configuration of JD Edwards manufacturing (V8.10 or higher) system
· Degree in Business Administration
· Business Analyst certification a plus
· APICS Certification preferred
