Help Desk Tech Support 

We have an opportunity for a Help Desk Technical Support person in the mid-state Maine area.  This is an on-site position, a contract that will go for a minimum of 1 year.  Recent graduates with an A+ Certification will be considered even without professional experience.  This is a terrific first-job opportunity!

Description of Duties

  • Provide on-site technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, software and other associated hardware connected to a user’s device.
  • Provide limited training to the end users for them to achieve minimal performance in computing.
  • Proactively address customer needs
  • Provide accurate and complete answers to general use and environment questions in a timely manner.

Required Skill Set

  • Key Help Desk Tech Support skills:
    • Desktop Support
    • Customer Service
    • Windows
    • Microsoft Office
  • Years of Relevant Experience: 1-3 years of desktop experience or A+ Certification
  • Preferred Education: A+ certification or equivalent education
  • Ability to perform work requiring lifting up to 50 lbs. and/or physical exertion may be required; this work may require crawling, climbing, kneeling, and the ability to grasp small objects with both hands.

Soft Skills Required

  • Demonstrate an understanding of customer relationship best practices; demonstrate an understanding of empathy and how to exercise it with a variety of personalities
  • Strong communication skills; both written and spoken.
